India Avenue housing proponent hosts Open House tonight for area residents

Conceptual désigne for proposed
housing development on India Ave.
Residents of the east side of the city who may want to learn more about the proposed re-purposing of the Bethel First Baptist Church into housing units, have opportunity to find out additional information tonight.

The proponent for the proposed development for the old church, operating as BC Company 1025105 B. C. Ltd., would see a multi person living accommodation take shape within the shell of the now closed church, described as an Executive Suites Rental Facility.

To give those living in the immediate area of the old church a better understanding of their plan, the
2G Group of companies will be hosting a Public Information Session this evening from 5 to 7 at the site of the proposed development, located at 1433 India Avenue.

The meeting was one of the conditions put in place by Council in February regarding the project, which will require re-zoning should Council decide to let it go ahead.

The Public Information session in addition to the regular process that would be ahead for the 2G Group should their project get the initial nod from Council, which would then provide more opportunity for public comment on the development plan.

You can review some of the discussion points on the proposed re-development of the building from our archive here.
