City Council to take Budget Consultation to the public in March

The first outline of how the 2016 Budget process will move forward was outlined late Friday afternoon, with the City of Prince Rupert advising that it has planned a Consultation night for the public on Monday, March 14th at 7 PM at the Lester Centre.

At that public session, Council will be seeking feedback from the public on their proposals for this years Budget, with residents to be asked to provide input through on site electronic voting for those in attendance, or by way of text messaging or online voting for those not in attendance at the Lester Centre that night.

Further background on the City's plans for March 14th will be provided after March 1st.

Council will receive a report on the Budget planning at tonight's Council Session, as Ms. Corinne Bomben, the City's Financial Officer provides the latest financial data for Council's consideration, you can review her notes to Council from the Agenda Package for tonight's session.

Her presentation starts at page 7 of the Agenda items for tonight's meeting.
