Vancouver School Board dismissal archive page

The dismissal of the Vancouver School Board on Monday by Mike Bernier, British Columbia's Minister of Education has grabbed the bulk of the attention in the province over the first twenty four hours since the announcement was delivered.

One day into the new blue print for Vancouver's school system, the Education Minister continued to outline the path ahead for the Vancouver board, which is now under the watchful eye of a sole trustee, Dianne Turner.

Not surprisingly the decision to remove the elected board has made for a political issue that has the opposition NDP and School Board officials across the province taking note and at times weighing in on the theme.

As the fall out from the dismissal continues to play out we'll update the files below.
